Swapo's Dingara quits parliament
Swapo member Elifas Dingara has resigned as a member of parliament in the National Assembly, bringing to an end a tenure that first began in 2010.
“I am vacating parliament voluntarily to pursue other interests,” the former president of the Namibia Public Workers Union (Napwu) told Namibian Sun yesterday.
His departure clears the way for Swapo Party Youth League (SPYL) deputy secretary Christine Haindaka, who is next on the party’s parliamentary list, to take up a seat in the National Assembly.
