The Roads Authority (RA) has launched an electronic notification system for vehicle licence disc and driver’s licence renewal reminders.

The new electronic system replaces postal notifications with paperless alerts. As a result, renewal notices will no longer be sent through NamPost.

All renewal notices will now be sent via SMS and email.

In a media statement, the RA urged clients to visit their nearest NaTIS office to request renewal notifications and provide updated contact details, including mobile numbers and email addresses. This process is subject to positive identification.

Clients who already use the online licence renewal platform are not required to visit a NaTIS office, as their details are already on record. New users can register for the platform at www.ra.org.na.

Corporate institutions, state-owned enterprises and government ministries may request vehicle and driver licence renewal notices by emailing [email protected], accompanied by positive identification of the designated company proxy or representative.

Renewal notices serve as reminders to clients that vehicle licence fees are due or that driving licences are nearing expiry. These notifications are issued after billing renewals are generated in the system but before the payment due date.
