I think we are anticipating a very competitive finish to the season.”The chairman remains confident in his team’s survival despite their difficult situation.Tigers FC, one of the oldest clubs in the country, are also at risk of joining former league giants Black Africa and Orlando Pirates, who were relegated in previous seasons.However, Tigers FC still believe survival is possible. Club owner Dicky Akwenye remains optimistic.“I think the fans must not lose hope because the possibility of our survival is still high,” he said.“I can only say there is still hope, and the team can still survive. The gap makes it possible for the teams to fight, and we therefore need the fans to stand behind the club at this time.”Chula or StarsWhile the bottom of the table fights for survival, the top of the league is where the champion will be decided.African Stars (45 points) and Eeshoke Chula Chula are set for a thrilling contest for league supremacy.The teams are separated by just four points, with the defending champions still in command.The northern side, however, remains in pursuit, waiting for any slip-ups.Ongos FC (37), Mighty Gunners (35), and King Kauluma Palace (32) are the closest challengers to the leaders.As it stands, it seems to be a two-horse race, but with eight matches left, anything can still happen.Former Brave Warriors and Stars goalkeeper Maximillian Mbaeva expressed excitement over the title race.“I think this is a time where squad depth plays a major role,” he said.“The team that has the depth will eventually win the title.”
