RHINO PROJECT DONATES FEED TO FARMERS:
RHINO PROJECT DONATES FEED TO FARMERS: The Rhino Momma Project not only protects rhinos but also supports communities. This year, thanks to abundant rainfall across most of Namibia, the project will not need to feed its rhinos until the end of the year. “As a result, we produced more feed than our rhinos needed,” rhino farmer Jaco Muller explained. Despite above-average rainfall in most places, some southern farms were not so lucky and are struggling to feed their livestock and game. The project thus plans to donate its surplus feed – equivalent to 2 500 bales of grass, or about 50 tonnes – to farmers in the area.
