Water Rationing For Ondangwa
NamWater has announced that following the Oshakati-Ondangwa New Pipeline repair on 18 September 2026 and the subsequent electricity outage in Oshakati on 19 September, pumping to Ondangwa was interrupted for two consecutive days.
As a result of the interruption, coupled with high demand exceeding supply, NamWater is experiencing challenges in maintaining adequate reservoir levels in Ondangwa.
To restore and build up reservoir levels and to mitigate the risk of further supply disruptions, NamWater will implement temporary nightly water rationing from today to 11 October 2026 between 22h00 and 04h00 daily.
The rationing will affect the entire Ondangwa Town and all communities supplied through the Ondangwa-Indangungu and Ondangwa-Omuntele pipelines.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly and to store enough water for essential use during the affected hours.
