ECB urges customer cooperation on rollover project
News in short
The Electricity Control Board (ECB) has cautioned users that if their prepaid meters are not rolled over by 24 November 2024, they will not be able to purchase electricity.
In a public statement issued yesterday, the ECB provided an update on its token identifier project.
According to the company, there are 321 278 meters affected, and so far, only 43 146 have been rolled over.
“ECB supports the rollover project and wishes to reiterate its importance and impact on prepaid consumers. The ECB thus wishes to encourage all prepaid electricity customers to cooperate with their respective distribution licensees by granting them access to the meters to complete the rollover project at the set deadline.”
