The top three candidates in the National Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSCO) and National Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Supplementary Level (NSSCAS) examinations have been officially announced, with the achievers sharing insights into the discipline, resilience and faith that shaped their academic journeys.
NSSCO top performers
Marian Kweyo
Rukonga Vision School – Kavango East Region
Kweyo said her biggest challenges in 2025 were academic pressure and balancing multiple subjects.
“I overcame them by staying organised and constantly reminding myself why I started in the first place,” she said.
She plans to begin her AS studies this year.
Dacrus Manuel
Rukonga Vision School – Kavango East Region
Manuel attributed his second-place achievement to faith and strong preparation.
“It is by the grace of God that I achieved second place among Ordinary Level learners. I feel the school prepared me very well for the national examinations,” he said.
He hopes to study medicine and sees himself enrolling at the University of Namibia (UNAM).
Emilia Nghipandulwa
Onawa Senior Secondary School – Omusati Region
Nghipandulwa described her school year as demanding, citing limited resources as a major hurdle.
“Despite the challenges, I still succeeded,” she said.
She plans to pursue AS studies before following a medical career path.
NSSCAS top performers

She credited her teachers for keeping learners motivated and focused.
Nicodemus Heita

Heita expressed gratitude and satisfaction with his results.
“I am really happy and excited. I thank the Lord for answering my prayers,” he said.
He added that mistakes made throughout the year motivated him to work harder and push himself further.

Aushona encouraged future AS learners to remain focused and resilient.
“My message to the next group of AS learners is to work hard, don’t be discouraged, pray, and always trust in God,” he said.
