SHORT: Bulawayo Polytechnic, Welwitchia University sign MoU
Bulawayo Polytechnic in Zimbabwe and Namibia's Welwitchia University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance academic collaboration, marking a significant step toward fostering educational and research partnerships between the two institutions.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in academic exchanges, joint research initiatives, and the sharing of expertise and resources. This collaboration aims to equip students and faculties with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their fields.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Marius Hedimbi, vice-chancellor of Welwitchia University, highlighted the importance of the partnership. “This agreement goes beyond formalities—it lays the foundation for academic growth, professional development, and meaningful collaboration,” he said.
Chiedza Masanganise, Principal of Bulawayo Polytechnic, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the transformative potential of the collaboration. “Through joint initiatives, research, and student exchanges, we aim to foster innovation and excellence in education,” she stated.
