Namdia Foundation builds fence at Karasburg school

The Namibia Desert Diamonds (Namdia) Foundation officially unveiled the completed construction of a fence at Lordsville Secondary School in the Karasburg East constituency last week.
The company said the initiative is aimed at addressing one of the school's major concerns, which is the need for a secure perimeter. The fence, placed around the hostel area, spans 225 metres, and was built at a cost of over N$235 000, providing a tangible sense of security for the entire school community.
Located 220 kilometres from Keetmanshoop in the //Karas Region, the school caters to 541 learners from grades eight to 11, and features a staff compliment of 21 teachers and 25 hostel and non-teaching personnel.
Namdia Foundation representative Raymond Snyders said safety is not a matter of chance, but rather a result of deliberate and calculated efforts. He further highlighted that the foundation's donation was a strategic move, demonstrating its commitment to creating a secure, comfortable and safe learning environment.
