Namboty Fishing recently donated goods worth N$24 000 to Monte Christo Primary Project School to help lessen some of the financial burdens experienced at the school.
Established in 2016, the school enrolled 1 670 learners in grades one to seven this year.
Currently, it boasts 28 classes and 54 staff members.
The school follows the platoon system, with the first set of lessons taking place from 07:00 to 12:00 for grades one to four and seven, and another set from 12:30 to 17:00 for grades five and six.
Namboty said several learners are currently taught in tents due to a lack of proper infrastructure.
"The kitchen facility is a growing concern as they have no space to prepare meals for the kids like other schools. The school also currently has no school hall or sports facilities.
“There is no designated room or sick bay for learners when they fall ill either," a statement read.
