Teen (14) accused of raping 3 minor boys
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping three minor boys aged seven to eight.
The assaults allegedly took place last week while the boys were herding cattle in Oshilemba Village of the Tsandi constituency.
Omusati police regional commander Commissioner Ismael Basson confirmed the arrest of the suspect, who appeared in court on Wednesday.
The suspect has been released into parental care, and the case was postponed to 27 October for further police investigation.
Basson said it is alleged the suspect discovered a group of four boys while herding cattle. He caught the boys and allegedly raped three of them. Two of the alleged victims are seven years old and one eight.
"The fourth boy, after observing the deeds by the aggressor, ran home and alerted his parents, who reported the matter to the police,” Basson said.
Basson said the suspect is an uncle to one of the victims but does not live in the same household as any of them. He is a neighbour to the victims.
Two of the victims are brothers from the same house, while the third is a neighbour.
