Shorts: Man arrested for attempted murder in Tsumeb
A 35-year-old suspect has been arrested for attempted murder after allegedly shooting a 30-year-old man near Kuvukiland Bus Stop in Nomtsoub, Tsumeb, late Friday night.
According to the Namibian Police, an argument erupted between the two men at approximately 23:24. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired at the victim, striking him in the left cheek. The bullet penetrated through the jaw and got lodged, causing the victim to lose consciousness and collapse.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to Lombard State Hospital, where he was stabilised before being transferred to Oshakati State Intermediate Hospital for further medical treatment. The suspect has been taken into custody, and police investigations are ongoing.
