SHORT NEWS - Unidentified female body found in Katutura
The body of an unidentified woman was discovered in Katutura on Friday, marking one of several serious incidents reported across Namibia over the weekend. Police said the woman’s body was found behind the Katutura Youth Complex and People’s Primary School. A torn pair of jeans, underwear, and a condom wrapper were recovered at the scene, though no visible injuries were observed. The cause of death remains unknown pending a post-mortem, and police have appealed for information to help identify the victim. The Katutura case came at the start of a violent weekend that left at least three others dead in separate incidents. In Wanaheda, 46-year-old Moses Albert Katiti died following a fight in the Babylon informal settlement on Saturday evening. Police said the victim sustained fatal injuries during the altercation with a 25-year-old man, who has since been identified but not yet charged.
