Robbers loot N$800 000 worth of goods

Police in the Erongo Region have appealed for public assistance in tracing an unknown number of suspects who stole items worth N$790 378 from Supertronix in Walvis Bay last Saturday.
According to the region's commander for community affairs, Inspector Ileni Shapumba, the incident happened in the early morning hours.
The robbers gained access to the store by breaking open a window and "stole 69 cellphones, 12 laptops, two Wi-Fi modems, 13 Bluetooth speakers and N$100 000 cash," he said.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that could assist the police is urged to contact Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu at 081 2464757, Detective Senior Inspector Ambambi at 081 6401600, or the nearest police station.
