Police search for suspect after newborn dumped in bin

The Namibian police in the Oshana Region are requesting the public’s help in tracing an individual who allegedly dumped the body of a newborn in a municipal bin on Sunday.
A case of murder has been opened after the body of the baby girl was discovered in a decomposed state near the Junior Self Catering Apartments in Ongwediva, with her mouth and nose sealed shut with cellotape.
Police Chief Inspector Thomas Aiyambo said the infant was found in a municipal dustbin.
The infant was not wearing any clothing, police said.
