Omusati father arrested for daughter's rape

A 47-year-old man from the Etayi Constituency in the Omusati Region has been arrested in connection with allegedly raping his biological 14-year-old daughter. Police said the alleged incidents occurred over a period between July 2025 and January 2026 at a homestead in Ohongo village. “It's alleged that the suspect requested [the daughter] to bring him food in the room. He further took a dry palm stick and instructed the victim to remove her clothes or else he will beat her, which she did and he had sexual intercourse with her several times without consent,” reads a report by the Omusati police. The matter was reported to the police by the victim’s uncle, who resides at the same household.
