Man arrested for stealing, slaughtering 17 sheep

Last Friday, a man allegedly stole and slaughtered 17 sheep at Swartwater Farm in the Tses area of the //Karas Region.
According to a police report, the suspect stole the sheep from a kraal and, without the owner's consent, slaughtered the animals, which are valued at a combined N$25 500.
Meanwhile in the Kavango East Region’s Katere village, authorities apprehended a man for being in possession of game meat without proper authorisation. The suspect was found in possession of a hippo carcass, valued at an estimated N$100 000, over the weekend.
Police investigations continue.
