Kahenge villagers arrested for possessing 'ngungula'

Police have arrested two people at Kahenge village in Kavango West for the illegal possession and suspected sale of smuggled fuel from Angola.
The suspects, a 73-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, had six 25-litre containers of petrol, a 26-litre container of diesel, and six five-litre containers of petrol, all valued at N$4 000.
Police regional commander Julia Sakuwa-Neo said they discovered several empty containers at the premises, which indicated that the property may have been used to sell fuel illegally.
The matter is now under investigation, and further charges may be considered pending the outcome of the inquiry.
