#JustIn: Six suicides by hanging
Six suicides were reported to the police over the weekend and in all incidents the deceased hanged themselves.
In an incident today, an 80-year-old pensioner, Jeutkus Mwandingi, hanged himself at Onanghulo village in Eenhana with a rope from a tree in his communal land. He lived with his wife and five children.
In an incident that took place on Saturday at Ouma village, 40-year-old Marcellina Ndeiwanena Aluvilu, hanged herself with a makalani palm's leaves from a branch of a mopane tree.
At the Omahenene Uupindi location, Oshakati West, 34-year-old Amupolo David hanged himself with a rope on a tree on Saturday. According to the police report, he left a suicide note.
On Friday at the Iishanaputa village, Onesi, it is alleged that the 45-year-old Erastus Shigwedha hanged himself with a wire around his neck at his home, while 72-year-old Tjifaku Liu hanged himself with a rope in his bedroom at the Kaguni village in Kavango West.
Also on Friday at Tobias Hainyeko location at Outapi, 24-year-old Kautondokwa Petrus Shipena hanged himself with a wire from an ebony tree.
The next of kin have been informed.
