Girl raped at gunpoint
News in short
An 11-year old girl was raped at gunpoint by a man whose age is unknown at Iinongo village in the Oshikoto Region’s Oniipa area.
The incident reportedly happened in February this year at an unknown time when the grade five learner was on her way home from school.
The police report indicated that the suspect lured the victim to his room, threatened her with a pistol and raped her.
“The victim didn't report the matter to her parents due to fear as she was threatened,” police said.
It’s further alleged that the suspect found the victim walking home from school again this week, and again threatened her at gunpoint not to tell her mother what happened.
The suspect is known to police, but has not been arrested yet.
Police investigations continue.
