Builders accused of alleged rape of two girls at Kavango School

Two sexual assault cases involving two minor girls were reported at Gava School on Sunday, 19 October, in Kavango West. Both suspects are men employed as builders at the school.
According to regional commander Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, in the first case the suspect (25) allegedly grabbed a girl (14) from a water tap, took her into his camping tent and allegedly raped her. He has since been arrested and is in police custody.
In the second case, another girl, also 14 years old, was reportedly assaulted in a similar manner by a man (21) from Rundu, who is still at large but well known to the authorities.
