Simeon Tulinane Nangolo, also known as “Osama”, did not appear in the Ondangwa Magistrates’ Court today after his case was transferred from the Oshakati Magistrates’ Court.

Nangolo, who is being held at Oluno Correctional Facility, was scheduled to appear before Magistrate Harris Shantell-Antoinette Wanga.

State Prosecutor Victoria Tileni Shigwedha told the court that Nangolo had refused to attend the proceedings.

The court was further informed that Nangolo had been joined as Accused 8 in the case relating to the death of Justina Shigwedha.

According to the State, he faces three charges: murder read with common purpose, conspiracy to commit murder read with common purpose, and defeating or obstructing the course of justice.

The State applied for a warrant authorising his removal to court and for the matter to be remanded in his absence to 22 October 2026, when he is expected to join the other seven accused in the case.

The charges are allegations, and Nangolo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
