WOMEN IN GREEN ENERGY

WOMEN IN GREEN ENERGY: The Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) Africa Chapter recently hosted a dynamic group of participants to explore women’s leadership in Africa and Namibia's green hydrogen drive, emphasising that the energy transition is as much about inclusivity as it is about technology.

Made possible through the support of GIZ Namibia’s Climate and Energy Partnerships Project, the event sought to provide a platform for women in the industry to network and share insights.

“This chapter is about creating space for African women to lead, influence and shape the energy transition.” Iyaloo Akuaake, country lead for WiGH, said.

Moses Pakote, executive director at the Office of the Prime Minister, said: “Namibia’s green economy cannot thrive without the full participation of women innovators, leaders and pioneers."
