NAMIBIA SHINES AT CHINA EXPO: Namibia's minister of international relations and trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi officially launched the Namibia pavilion during the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE), held in Changsha, China, this month. During her visit, the minister took the time to interact with Namibian exhibitors displaying a wide array of products representing Namibia’s rich resources and innovative industries.
The minister used the opportunity to encourage exhibitors, highlighting the importance of quality, competitiveness and branding in succeeding on the global stage. Furthermore, she expressed Namibia’s readiness to attract foreign investment that can stimulate local industries and create sustainable economic growth.
The expo serves as a forum not only for showcasing Namibian products but also for networking and building partnerships with Chinese and other African business stakeholders.
Around 200 000 people visited the main exhibition hall.
