Presidential visit to Angola
President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will undertake a state visit to Luanda, Angola, from 18 to 20 October 2026 and attend the inaugural Angola-Namibia Bi-National Commission (BNC).
The BNC elevates bilateral cooperation to a mechanism co-chaired by Nandi-Ndaitwah and Angolan President João Lourenço.
The commission will culminate in a summit of the two heads of state on 19 October, preceded by a ministerial session on 18 October. A senior officials’ meeting is scheduled for 15 and 16 October.
The programme will also include an Angola-Namibia business forum on 19 October. According to the Presidency, 95 Namibian businesses have expressed interest in participating in business-to-business engagements.
Areas for further cooperation include agriculture, trade and investment; cross-border energy, water, transport and infrastructure projects; defence and security; and border and immigration management.
As part of the official programme, Nandi-Ndaitwah is also expected to address Angola’s National Assembly.
