MTC Windhoek Fashion Week hits the runway in November
Namibia’s premier fashion and lifestyle platform, MTC Windhoek Fashion Week (MTCWFW), has announced that the 2026 edition will take place from 4 to 7 November in Windhoek.
The runway bonanza The event will bring together leading designers, models, creatives, brands and industry stakeholders for four days of fashion, innovation, business and cultural exchange.
As preparations gather momentum, MTCWFW has unveiled an exciting series of activities and collaborations that will take place throughout the year leading up to the main event.
One of the key initiatives is the MTCWFW Fashion Pop-Up Series, a collaboration with Stratos at Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino.
The series will provide a platform for local fashion brands, designers, and entrepreneurs to showcase, market, and sell their products directly to consumers. The pop-up activations will take place at the end of every month through October, creating consistent opportunities for brand exposure, networking, and business growth within Namibia's fashion ecosystem.
In addition, MTCWFW will embark on a nationwide talent search through a series of model castings in Ongwediva, Rundu, and Windhoek, aimed at discovering the next generation of Namibian modelling talent. The castings will offer aspiring models an opportunity to participate in one of Africa's most respected fashion platforms while gaining exposure to industry professionals.
Applications are also officially open for designers wishing to showcase their collections at MTC Windhoek Fashion Week 2026. Interested designers can submit their applications through the official MTCWFW website.
Pop ups
Speaking on the upcoming edition, Alvaro Mukoroli, marketing and PR for MTC Windhoek Fashion Week, said: "MTC Windhoek Fashion Week has always been about creating opportunities beyond the runway.”
He added: "This year we are intentionally creating more platforms for designers, models, entrepreneurs, and creatives to engage with the industry throughout the year.
"Through our Fashion Pop-Up series, nationwide model castings, and strategic collaborations, we want to ensure that more Namibians benefit from the creative economy and have access to opportunities that can help grow their careers and businesses."
Mukoroli said the 2026 edition will place significant emphasis on partnerships and international collaboration.
"We are excited to be working closely with various corporate partners and stakeholders within the creative industry to create meaningful opportunities for our participants. We are also in discussions with several international fashion weeks and industry platforms, which will create opportunities for cultural exchange, talent development, and potential international exposure for Namibian designers and models."
