Mario AKM Drops soulful new Single 'The Day The Lord Has Made'
Augusto Kaluandi Meameno Mario, widely known as Mario AKM, on Friday, 10 October released his latest single, “The Day The Lord Has Made”, marking his first official release under Rebel Attitude Entertainment (RAE), the label he co-founded with BOAS.
The track is a powerful declaration of faith, resilience, and personal rebirth. Set against a carefully crafted beat, AKM reflects on his journey of self-discovery, divine timing, and the recognition of his worth. Kimberly lends a radiant introduction, while BOAS delivers a resonant closing, framing the song as both a spiritual and artistic arrival. The single was professionally mixed and mastered at Façade Inc. studios.
“This record is about me stepping back into the light after a season of inner work. It’s me saying: ‘I know who I am now. I know God’s hand is on me. I know my time is now,’” AKM said.
AKM first gained momentum last year with standout performances at Namibia’s Kasi Vibe Festival and the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair. His rise drew widespread attention, including multiple TV and radio appearances and a Jägermeister Namibia campaign featuring his Kasi Vibe performance that has garnered over 650,000 views on Instagram Reels.
Looking ahead, RAE plans to release more than five tracks in the next six months, promising a blend of polished production and authentic storytelling. “The Day The Lord Has Made” also marks the beginning of creative collaborations, with Binary City partnering on the single’s branding shoot.
The single dropped exclusively on Donlu Africa on Friday, 10 October, before becoming available on other platforms on Monday. “This one’s special, I wanted to empower a Namibian platform and show that we can build our own tables. This isn’t just a song, it’s a statement,” AKM said.
With half of his upcoming repertoire highlighting faith, purpose, and alignment, and the other half showcasing his raw edge and hunger, AKM is positioning himself as a versatile artist for a new generation, blending introspection with ambition in a distinctly Namibian sound.
