Lioness set to unleash dynamic performance at Namibia Tourism Expo

Award-winning rap artist Lioness is gearing up for her debut performance at the highly-anticipated Namibia Tourism Expo, scheduled for 24 to 26 April at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino.
"This is my first time performing at the Namibia Tourism Expo, an event that not only showcases the best of Namibia, but also captures the attention of a global audience," Lioness said. "I feel very privileged to be a part of it. The months of preparation leading up to this moment have been intense, and I'm eager for everyone to enjoy what we've put together."
The expo, renowned for promoting Namibian culture and tourism, offers a platform for artists like Lioness to represent the Land of the Brave. "With the ongoing advancements in Namibian tourism, it’s thrilling to have the opportunity to participate in an event that highlights our cultural vibrancy on an international stage. I've always been patriotic, and I believe that showcasing our art at such events is crucial for cultural exchange and economic growth,” she added.
Set list
While details of her set list remain under wraps, Lioness hinted at a mix of chart toppers and fan favourites. "The set list is a surprise, but you can expect a lot of energy and some well-loved hits," she teased. Her performances are known to bridge cultural gaps, and this one promises to be no different.
Lioness also told tjil how she plans to weave Namibian cultural elements into her performance. "Many of my songs are produced by Namibian producers, and as a Namibian artist, that alone carries our cultural signature," she explained.
"Incorporating my native language and local sounds has been a cornerstone of my career. It’s vital for me to celebrate Namibian music, especially on such a prestigious platform."
Looking ahead
Post-expo, Lioness has big plans for the remainder of the year.
"I've been hinting at a new album that's nearing completion," she revealed. "It's packed with exciting collaborations. I encourage everyone to stay tuned to my social media for updates on the release and more."
