LEAD FROM WHERE YOU ARE: Namibia's former first lady Monica Geingos premiered the documentary 'Lead from Where You Are: The Journey of the Office of the First Lady (2015–2024)' in Windhoek last week.
The film reflects a nine-year leadership journey and speaks to the work done under the Office of the First Lady.
The premiere, which featured special guest Vice-President Lucia Witbooi, brought together invited stakeholders, long-standing partners and individuals who have supported the work of the Office of the First Lady of Namibia over the years.
Opening the event, One Economy Foundation executive director Pauline Thomas said, "'Lead From Where You Are' isn’t just a title, it’s a reminder that leadership is rooted in purpose, not position. It’s about using what you have, where you are, to make an impact.”
Geingos moreover said: “You must tell your own story and be accountable for your journey. Over the past nine years, we raised over N$100 million, created jobs, built a youth campus we’re proud of and redefined soft power in public service. We owe it to ourselves to show the impact."
