With summer around the corner, Namibian artists have released songs designed to dominate the season, accompanied by stunning visuals that showcase both creativity and cultural flair.

Here’s a closer look at some of the latest music videos fresh out of Namibia, already sparking conversations and racking up streaming numbers.

Too Much – DJ Vuyo

Released on Thursday, 31 July, DJ Vuyo’s latest single, ‘Too Much’, arrives with an equally captivating music video directed by Mepani M. With sleek production credits including DidiReloaded as cinematographer, editor and colourist, and fashion styling by Kati Cotton and Tukwatheni, the video oozes a polished aesthetic. Amapiano continues its stronghold in Namibia with ‘Skroef Fontein,’ an infectious collaboration blending rhythm and lyrical dexterity. Congratulations – Manxebe

Kwaito meets reggae-dancehall in Manxebe’s ‘Congratulations’, an introspective yet uplifting track chronicling his journey through adversity to success. The visuals mirror the song’s emotional depth, capturing Manxebe’s growth and resilience. The relatability of the lyrics has resonated widely, making the song a favourite among fans.

Celebrate – Mr Makoya

While on a recent tour in the United States, Mr Makoya shot the video for his latest single ‘Celebrate’ in Chicago, marking his second invitation from the Namibian community in America.
