Fluffy’s Artistry on Wheels launches as Namibia’s first mobile salon
Namibia’s beauty industry is going mobile following the launch of Fluffy’s Artistry on Wheels, a transformative new venture introduced by Windhoek entrepreneur Fransina Nikodemus, widely known as the “Queen of the Gel Bolla”.
The launch marks the fulfilment of Nikodemus’s long-standing dream to provide a specialised experience for clients rather than simply a service — a promise she has upheld throughout her rapid growth between 2024 and 2026.
Designed as a high-end, fully equipped studio, the Salon on Wheels aims to bring Fluffy’s signature bridal styling, expert wig installations and the iconic “gel bolla” directly to clients.
The move marks a strategic shift in the local beauty sector, effectively closing the logistical gap for bridal parties who previously had to travel to her Shandumbala or CBD branches. By taking the artistry to the client, Nikodemus ensures that her high standards of comfort and professional excellence remain accessible regardless of location.

The launch, attended by industry peers and close supporters, served as a testament to Nikodemus’s reputation for excellence. Highlighting her contribution to the sector, close friends of the founder presented her with a cheque of N$20 000.
They described the gesture as a token of appreciation for the professional standards she has introduced to the Namibian beauty market.
Speaking at the unveiling, Dr Martha Uumati applauded the founder’s approach to the craft, noting that the brand’s success is built on more than technical skill.
“Fransina does more than hair, she provides an experience,” Uumati said.
The launch further solidifies Nikodemus’s standing as a market innovator. While competitors continue to focus on traditional brick-and-mortar expansion, the Salon on Wheels puts the Fluffy’s Artistry brand on the road, creating a more scalable business.
Beyond the luxury offering, the initiative is set to create new professional pathways for the brand’s workforce of more than 19 employees.
As the mobile unit begins operations, it represents a new chapter for women-owned enterprises in Namibia, demonstrating how local expertise can be transformed into a sophisticated mobile brand.
