Five years of TopCheri
Musician announces homecoming festival
This new year promises to be the most exciting one yet for the artist.
Musician and creative entrepreneur TopCheri is gearing up for her biggest festival yet in her hometown Walvis Bay this April.
With outstanding performances and networking opportunities, this new year promises to be the most exciting one yet for the artist, whose 'government name' is Monika Pinias.
She is working hard to improve the creative economy of the harbour town by giving up-and-coming artists and entrepreneurs the chance to perform and sell their products and services at her forthcoming festival.
In an interview with Namibian Sun, the award-winning artist shared that the concert will be a celebration of her five years in the music industry.
“Everything I do is to represent my hometown Walvis Bay, so with this concert, the analogy is like a child taking a school report home.
“This concert will be a conduit to demonstrate how far the support from my hometown has taken me,” she said.
She added that she will also book several other Namibian artists to perform at the event.
“I am looking at a three-day expo festival and I also look forward to bringing on board the municipality of Walvis Bay for this festival.”
The date and line-up will be announced in due course. In the meantime, an Instagram account for the festival has been created where more details about stall applications will be shared.
