Drag Night Namibia returns tonight with ‘Atlantis Unfiltered’
Drag Night Namibia (DNN) is set to return with its cabaret edition 'Atlantis Unfiltered' tonight at Francesco on Liliencron Street in Windhoek.
Following the success of the recent Motown-themed Drag Night Namibia mainstage show at FNCC Le Roof, the movement continues with a more intimate offering.
DNN Cabaret aims to bring audiences closer to the art form in a setting that highlights expression, identity and performance.
Francesco, now the official home of Drag Night Unplugged and Drag Night Cabaret, provides a space described as safe and inclusive, where artistry and individuality can flourish. The venue blends Italian flair with Namibian influence, creating a unique atmosphere for the show.
The evening will be hosted by award-winning performer Lize Ehlers and will spotlight Atlantis in a feature performance titled 'Atlantis Unfiltered'.
The show is described as a bold and unapologetic cabaret journey through music, identity and raw truth.
Atlantis is known for her performance of 'Sweet Transvestite' from The Rocky Horror Picture Show and is expected to deliver a performance that is both high-energy and emotionally engaging.
Audiences can expect a mix of live vocals and lip-sync performances, combined with elements of camp theatre. The show will incorporate humour, glamour and moments of vulnerability, offering a well-rounded theatrical experience.
While the performance celebrates entertainment and flamboyance, it also explores deeper themes, highlighting drag as a platform for storytelling, reflection and social connection.
DNN Cabaret forms part of a broader movement focused on inclusivity, creative freedom and the celebration of diverse voices. The format allows for a more personal experience, where each performance connects closely with the audience.
