DJ B-Cul has built a reputation for her energetic sets and ability to bring audiences together through music.

Now she is preparing to bring her sound across the border to Zambia, a chance to represent Namibia on an international stage as she performs alongside some of Africa’s biggest music names.

Originally from Oshakati and currently based in Rundu, DJ B-Cul is known for blending popular African sounds with feel-good rhythms.

The DJ says taking to the stage outside Namibia is both an honour and an important milestone in her career.

“I'm a passionate DJ and creative who enjoys bringing people together through music,” she said. “Over the years I have developed a deep love for entertaining and creating memorable experiences for audiences.”

Audiences in Zambia can expect a lively and engaging performance, she said, with a mix of Afrobeat, Amapiano and dance-friendly music aimed at creating an atmosphere where people can connect and enjoy themselves. “For me it’s not just about playing songs, it’s about reading the crowd and making sure everyone feels included in the experience.”

Proudly Namibian

DJ B-Cul added that preparing to entertain an international audience requires careful consideration of the local music culture while remaining authentic to her own sound.

“When preparing for an international audience, I take time to understand the local sound and what people are currently enjoying. It’s important to respect the culture and musical identity of the country you’re performing in,” she explained. “At the same time I stay true to my style and where I come from because I’m proud to represent Namibia.”

The show is set to also feature major African artists, including Davido, Uncle Waffles and Ya Levis, something DJ B-Cul describes as special.

“Sharing a stage with incredible artists like Davido, Uncle Waffles and Ya Levis is an honour, and I’m grateful to be part of such a powerful line-up,” she said, hinting that her set will include a few surprises for the audience.

Hard work pays off

Beyond the performance itself, DJ B-Cul hopes the experience will help her grow both personally and professionally. “Performing abroad is a blessing and a reminder that hard work truly pays off,” she said. “Most importantly, I want to represent Namibia with humility and pride and continue opening doors not just for myself but for other women in the industry as well.”
