In a triumphant return to the music scene, multiple award-winning Namibian artist Chikune has captivated fans with her latest single, 'Festus', accompanied by a visually stunning music video directed by the acclaimed Reggie Films.

The track, produced by legendary Namibian producer Elvo, boasts an unparalleled sonic landscape that perfectly complements Chikune's distinctive vocal prowess.
The mixing and mastering, skilfully handled by Keynote of Maszanga, contribute to the single's overall polished and immersive sound.
Chikune revealed that the music video was shot in December while she was at the coast for her live performance at the MTC OAS1SONE Skeleton Coast Music For Wildlife Festival. She expressed delight at the overwhelming response to the single, stating: "Having been quiet musically, I am happy with the response this single is receiving".

The Namibian songstress also teased her fans with exciting news, announcing upcoming releases to look forward to in 2024.
"I will be dropping another single for my birthday and for Valentine's Day. I have been busy working on new music, and with time I will be able to determine how to package it - either as an EP or potentially as an album," she shared, promising a year filled with musical delights for her dedicated fanbase.
She maintained that 'Festus' not only marks a triumphant return for her, but also serves as a showcase of her unwavering commitment to delivering musical excellence.
“’Festus’ was a fun song to record and I am proud of how the visuals came together, but most importantly, I am thankful to my fans who continue to support my work. As a medical doctor, work gets overwhelming sometimes, leaving me with less time to focus on my craft. But my fans never hold that against me, and for that, I am forever thankful.”
