Cassia Sharpley jets off to Vietnam for Miss Cosmo

Miss Namibia 2022 Cassia Sharpley is dusting off her pageant shoes as she prepares to represent Namibia at another international pageant this year.

Crowned Miss Cosmo Namibia 2025, Sharpley will be jetting off to Vietnam for the second edition of the international pageant.

“It is a blissful experience to know that I can go as a national ambassador,, and who knows, I might establish myself as a global ambassador and bring back the crown. I'm excited to go to Asia Pacific to represent my country,” she told tjil.

De Determined to make an impact, Sharpley said she is focused on success.

“I'm looking forward to the crown and the title 100 per cent.”

Sharpley has been involved in pageantry since the young age of 13.

In 2022, she was crowned Miss Namibia and went on to represent the country at the 71st Miss Universe competition.

Reflecting on her experience, she said pageantry is about more than just a pretty face; it showcases wit, intelligence and leadership.

“I chose pageantry because I've been in it ever since the age of 13, and I'm determined to win an international crown for my country.”

A phoenix

On preparation, Sharpley said her work will speak for itself on stage.

“I prepare in silence, and then I'm seen as a phoenix rising from the ashes,” she told tjil.

Namibians can support Sharpley by following her adventure on social media. “Follow me on my socials, share some love with the Vietnamese people and just show them what it is to be a true Namibian,” she said.

Fresh off the fashion week red carpet, rocking Melissa Poulton, Sharpley did not give away too much when asked which local designer will be dressing her for the pageant.

“I think you guys should stay tuned,” she said.

Sharing words of motivation for creatives in the country, she added: “Go forward. Do your best. Namibia is small, but your dreams are big. The stakes are high, but your purpose is even higher.”

Announcing her particpation in the upcoming Miss Cosmo in October this year, Sharpley shared that she was humbled by the journey, which she expects to be intense, adding that it is essential to be impactful.

The pageant will take place on 20 December.
