Auditions open for NTN’s inaugural choral choir competition
The National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) is excited to announce auditions for its first edition of 'Blended Voices – A Namibian Choral Celebration', a competition celebrating the creativity and talent of Namibian choirs and the evolution of contemporary Namibian music.
The event is part of NTN’s main programme and will feature a grand performance on Saturday, 29 March, at NTN, where finalist choirs will compete for the top three spots and prize money.
Performances will showcase contemporary Namibian songs and original compositions, blending traditional and modern influences. The competition will explore themes of unity, culture and innovation, aiming to enhance the visibility of Namibian music within the choral art form.
Auditions now open
Auditions are open to choirs from schools, universities, churches and community groups across Namibia.
To audition, choirs must submit a three-minute video performing a contemporary Namibian song (excluding hymns) via WhatsApp to +264 81 366 2133. The deadline for submissions is 9 February and the finalists will be announced on 17 February.
