Katima Mulilo’s Choto Sports Field is the place to be tomorrow for the first edition of the Choto Fun Day and Music Festival.

In an interview with tjil, DJ Siya - who is one of the organisers of the event - shared that the free market day is aimed at celebrating men and women who work hard every day to provide for their families and community.

“We want to provide a platform for them to showcase their goods and services.

“The aim of this festival is for people to sell their products while enjoying music at the same time,” he said.

The event is open to the public for free, he said, adding that it’s not always about making money. Instead, it is about giving back to the people who have been supportive throughout the year, DJ Siya said.

Have fun!

“We will have performances by our regional stars. The aim is to have fun.”

The line-up features the organiser himself as well as DJ Vuyo, Belle Markasoh, Reinshar, Eksel Mdu Fire Drummer and more.

Summing up the conversation with tjil, DJ Siya mentioned that the festival is set to be an annual event.

“This is just the beginning. We would like to invite everyone to come and have fun.

“I am also going to launch my new single titled ‘Ngiyabonga’ featuring DJ Style and Temi Dimplez,” he revealed.
