Whoos Nexxt 2026 festival builds momentum

Staff Report

In what promises to be one of Namibia’s most anticipated entertainment events of the year, Whoos Nexxt is set to return bigger than ever on 8 August, bringing together music, youth culture, creativity and live entertainment at the Hage Geingob Stadium.

Founded in 2024, Whoos Nexxt has quickly established itself as more than just a music festival. Over the past two years, it has evolved into a dynamic entertainment and youth culture platform dedicated to discovering, celebrating and supporting the next generation of creative talent while connecting Namibian audiences with some of Africa's biggest music stars.

At the heart of the platform is one simple question: Who is next? Who is the next artist, creator, performer or innovator to be discovered, celebrated and given an opportunity to shine on a bigger stage? Through live events, artist showcases, influencer-led campaigns, creative masterclasses and youth-focused initiatives, Whoos Nexxt continues to create opportunities that extend well beyond the festival itself.

Building excitement

This year's festival has been supported by an exciting programme of pre-event activations designed to engage audiences and build anticipation ahead of the main event.

As part of the campaign rollout, Whoos Nexxt hosted successful entertainment experiences at The Loft, featuring Sun-El Musician and Keavy-K. Beyond entertainment, the 2026 Masterclass focuses on content creators, streamers and the wider creative economy.

The main festival takes place on Saturday, 8 August, at the Hage Geingob Stadium, featuring Sha Sha, Ami Faku, DJ Ganyani, Mdu aka TRP and more alongside Namibian talent. Tickets are available through WebTickets.

Whoos Nexxt is a Namibian entertainment and youth culture platform founded in 2024 by DJ Bokkieult and DJ Kido. The platform spotlights emerging creative talent while bringing established African artists closer to Namibian audiences through festivals, showcases, influencer collaborations and educational masterclasses.
