Bank stuns Ndjolonimu in Denmark

Namibian super middleweight contender Paulinus Ndjolonimu, known as “John John”, suffered a stoppage defeat to unbeaten Danish fighter Jacob Bank on Saturday night in a world title eliminator at Sydbank Arena.The contest was halted in the fifth round after Ndjolonimu was stopped by a decisive liver shot, marking only the second defeat of his professional career.Ndjolonimu began cautiously but gradually worked his way into the fight, using his jab to establish rhythm and distance. Bank, however, controlled much of the early action with disciplined boxing, landing clean, accurate punches to both head and body to edge ahead on the scorecards.By the middle rounds, the Namibian appeared to be gaining momentum and increasing pressure on his opponent.
