Namibia’s senior men’s futsal national team, the Brave Five, will turn their attention to Libya in Round Two of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2026 qualifiers, following their impressive aggregate victory over Kenya.

The Brave Five sealed an emphatic 18–11 aggregate win in Round One, highlighted by a 10–7 away triumph in Nairobi, to book their place in the decisive phase of qualification. They now face a stern test against Libya, one of Africa’s top-ranked futsal nations.

Libya were among the four highest-ranked teams in the FIFA Futsal World Rankings alongside Angola, Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt and were therefore exempted from the first round. However, they now enter the competition at Round Two, where qualification for the continental finals will be decided.

The second round will be contested over two legs, with Namibia set to host the first leg on 4 February before travelling to Libya for the return fixture on 8 February. The winner of the tie will secure a place at the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON Morocco 2026, joining hosts and three-time defending champions Morocco at the finals.

Eighteen teams are competing in the qualification process, with seven nations progressing to the tournament. Other Round Two fixtures include Cape Verde or Senegal against Egypt, Cameroon or South Sudan versus Angola, and Zimbabwe or Tanzania taking on Côte d’Ivoire.

With momentum on their side after dispatching Kenya, Namibia will be aiming to carry their attacking form into the Libya clash as they chase a historic qualification for the continental showpiece in Morocco later this year.
