POINTS SHARED: The shared league points from Sunday’s wash-out in Dar es Salaam due to rain in their opening match against Uganda will increase the pressure on the Namibian junior cricket side in their quest to qualify for the Under-19 World Cup. The previous tournament two years ago finished with three teams on equal points and saw Namibia eliminated on net run rate. The importance of their remaining matches has hence increased – starting with today’s encounter against Tanzania. The under-19 team - sponsored by Walvis Bay Salt - also has matches scheduled against Kenya, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Only one team from the continent will qualify for the Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka next year. Photo: CRICKET NAMIBIA
