AAN’s top archers set for Southern African Championships

AAN’s Target Archery Club recently hosted its Valentine Shoot in Swakopmund in preparation for the Southern African Regional Championships and World Game Trials, set to take place from 4 to 6 April at Marks Park Sports Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.The competition saw archers put their marksmanship to the test in a Double World Archery (WA) 720 round, a World Archery (WA) Indoor round, and elimination rounds.Target archery’s Babette Taljaard and Jacqueline Coetzee achieved the national qualifying scores, earning national colours and securing their places to represent the country at the regional championships.Speaking about the latest shoot, Coetzee said: “We shot a double 720, meaning we had to shoot two by 72 arrows.
