SHORT NEWS: Rössing Uranium donates N$1.5m bus to health ministry
Rössing Uranium has donated a patient transport bus worth N$1.5 million to the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Swakopmund. Accepting the vehicle, health minister Esperance Luvindao thanked the mine for its continued support to public healthcare and said the new bus will ease the movement of patients between hospitals and clinics. She added that while efficient transport remains essential, government’s long-term goal is to decentralize specialized health services to all regions, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for treatment. Regional health officials and Rössing representatives attended the handover ceremony.
