SHORT NEWS: Police arrest man, confiscate 2.1kg of marijuana

Police in Walvis Bay arrested a 29-year-old man on Monday for possessing cannabis during an operation in Kuisebmund. The arrest followed an intelligence-driven operation, where Erongo police acted on a tip-off regarding the suspect’s involvement in large-scale drug dealing. Police seized a total of 2,100 grams of cannabis from the suspect, which included 1,409 grams of skunk cannabis and 691 grams of marijuana (majad). The total estimated value of the confiscated drugs is approximately N$77 360. The police continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and assist in the fight against crime.
