Nored launches school electricity safety campaign

Northern Regional Electricity Distributor (Nored) spokesperson Simon Lukas says the power utility is rolling out safety awareness campaigns in schools after statistics showed many victims of electrical incidents are school-goers.

Lukas spoke during a safety education session at Tuhingireni Project School in Rundu yesterday, where learners and teachers were equipped with electricity safety tips aimed at improving behaviour and attitudes.

He added that the programme targets five schools identified by the education ministry in each region, with six of the eight regions already covered.
