Massive cannabis stash leads to arrest

A 28-year-old Namibian man was arrested on Sunday after police allegedly found cannabis worth N$741 750 in his possession.

Police said they acted on information about a man seeking a lift to Windhoek from Okahandja while carrying two large bags believed to contain drugs. He was tracked to the Okapuka roadblock, where officers intercepted and searched him.

During the search, police allegedly recovered 15 parcels of cannabis weighing 14.8 kg.
