Khorixas school holds vigil for crash victims

T. H. F !Gaeb Primary School at Khorixas today hosted a candlelight vigil for two former learners who died in a fatal car crash involving a hospital patient bus and a truck 30 km south of Otjiwarongo last month.

Geraldo Haraeb (13) was a Grade 6 learner while his younger brother Elsario Nanuseb (11) was in Grade 4.

"The candlelight vigil was held in the memory of two pupils we lost. We cannot start the new academic term as if nothing happened," principal Priscilla Kabajani said.

Two social workers attended the vigil and will provide counselling to learners and teachers.

The brothers were buried in the same grave at Khorixas on 23 May.
