Home affairs takes eID campaign ot Omaheke

Residents of Tjaka settlement in the Kalahari Constituency turned out in large numbers today for the electronic identity (e-ID) awareness campaign being conducted by the home affairs ministry ahead of the planned September rollout. The campaign, which commenced in Gobabis on 27 July, aims to educate communities about the benefits and processes associated with the new digital identity system. The awareness drive will continue across other constituencies in the Omaheke Region, with officials engaging residents and addressing questions around the introduction of e-IDs.
