Govt targets better community support
Deputy minister in the Office of the Vice President Moses //Khumub says government is overhauling its approach to supporting marginalised communities after acknowledging that state interventions have often failed to match community needs.
Speaking during a working visit to the Bravo !Khung Resettlement Farm in the Kavango West region this week, //Khumub said the mismatch has slowed development and stressed that future planning must be grassroots-driven.
He said government will prioritise education, agriculture and youth empowerment, including increasing opportunities for San-speaking professionals to serve their own communities.
